Ligita Samsons

I came to the United States with my parents and sister after spending seven years in post WWII Germany. We left Latvia to escape Communist persecution and felt very fortunate to be sponsored to come to America.
I graduated frrm Western Michigan University with a teaching degree in business and eventually earned a Masters in Educational Leadership. My husband and I spent ten years in the Hudson Valley in New York where I was an instructor in high school. When we returned to Michigan, I worked as an instructor and administrator for twenty years at Davenport University.

I started working with beads ten years ago, and my love for combining textures and colors increases each year. My favorite stones are amber, coral, and turquoise. I love those "rocks"!!!!
